The Chicago Sun-Times is requiring all of their reporters to train in iPhone photography basics in order to “outfit [them] as much as possible to produce the content [they] need.”
This may have something to do with the firing of their entire photography staff just yesterday.

I sometimes wonder if pushing more people towards broader responsibilities is more akin to our nature following the last 50 yrs or so of hyper specialization. For sure, I know it’s changing things.
Despite the ease tech can add, the Breadth vs. Depth equation has to come into play at some point.
